M&M to Launch Seven EVs by 2030
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) plans to introduce seven battery electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030, starting in 2025. The company aims to ramp up its production capacity this fiscal year to 15,000 units per month, including 10,000 EVs. This increase in EV production will heighten the need for machined components, particularly for battery housings, motor parts, and chassis components, benefiting the machining industry.
Ather Energy Partners for Battery Development
Ather Energy has signed an agreement with Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (ARE&M) to develop and source Lithium-ion battery cells for its electric scooters. This partnership will likely increase the need for precision-machined battery components and other parts essential for electric scooter assembly, offering machining companies a chance to support advancements in battery technology and EV production.
