GF Casting Solutions Altenmarkt, a leading provider of magnesium and aluminium die-casting solutions for the automotive industry, has achieved substantial production efficiencies with the Hyperturn 65 Powermill G2 and the EMCOTURN E65 CNC turning centre from EMCO. These machines have significantly reduced set-up, clamping, and production times, enabling seamless in-house spare parts manufacturing.
Thomas Klade, Team Leader of Contract Manufacturing at GF Casting Solutions, expressed satisfaction with the machines’ precision and performance. “Both machines are perfectly tailored to our requirements and run excellently. The support from Emco has been outstanding,” he stated.
The EMCOTURN E65 CNC turning centre, installed in 2023, plays a crucial role in producing screw cores. With features like automated unloading, conveyor integration, and optional bar loaders, GF Casting Solutions has reduced production times by two-thirds. “We now produce 15 pieces fully automatically, engraved and ejected onto a conveyor belt without manual intervention,” Klade highlighted.
Leopold Zerz, Head of Sales for EMCO Austria, emphasized the machine’s versatility: “The EMCOTURN E65 features a 65 mm spindle passage, counter spindle, radial turret with 12 driven tools, and an 80 mm Y-axis stroke, enabling highly efficient, partially autonomous production.”
The Hyperturn 65 Powermill G2, purchased in 2022, has further streamlined operations by minimizing set-up and clamping times. GF Casting Solutions now enjoys enhanced production efficiency and quality.
