Point S International has hosted the second edition of its Next Generation Campus, bringing together young automotive leaders from nine countries to prepare them for the changing demands of the automotive aftermarket.
Held from 31 August to 4 September in Provence, France, the five-day programme builds on the success of the inaugural 2025 campus and focuses on managing growth across people, teams, business performance and brand development.
Participants from Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Norway, Slovakia, South Africa and the UK gathered to exchange experiences, learn from industry experts and develop practical leadership skills.
The programme addresses challenges facing independent tyre dealers and mechanical workshops, including digitalisation, workforce shortages, changing customer expectations, electrification and rapidly evolving vehicle technologies. Sessions cover employee engagement, team development, customer satisfaction, commercial and financial performance, and strengthening local digital visibility.
“New technologies, digital tools, and AI are changing the way workshops operate and engage with customers, but sustainable success depends on much more than technology alone,” said Fabien Bouquet, CEO, Point S International. He highlighted strong leadership, motivated teams, sound commercial management and customer experience as key foundations for sustainable growth.
The participants represent different stages of the family-business leadership journey—from students preparing to enter their family businesses to employees moving into leadership roles and recent successors already managing operations.
Beyond the formal sessions, the campus provides networking and team activities designed to build a long-term international peer community. Translation services also enable participants from different countries to collaborate effectively.
Point S said the initiative reflects its commitment to helping independent automotive businesses develop the next generation of leaders while preserving their entrepreneurial values.
Founded in 1971, Point S is an independent vehicle maintenance network with more than 6,772 points of sale across 51 countries, employing over 31,700 people worldwide.
