The CHIRON Group will host OPEN HOUSE 2026 from April 21–23 at its headquarters in Tuttlingen, Germany, bringing together machining expertise and advanced automation technologies for the manufacturing industry.
The event will highlight the company’s latest developments in automation and 5-axis machining, demonstrating how integrated solutions can enhance productivity, flexibility, and manufacturing efficiency. According to Martin Engels, CSO a.i., CHIRON Group, the exhibition will showcase scalable systems ranging from the Micro5 and Micro5 XL for high-precision parts to the MT 715 for mill-turn machining of complex shaft components.
A key highlight will be the Variocell SYSTEM, a new gantry-based automation solution designed for industries such as e-mobility, off-highway equipment, and aerospace. Developed by the CHIRON Group and powered by Güdel technology, the system can handle payloads of up to 70 kg. It offers fast and precise workpiece handling, reduced floor-space requirements, and simple programming directly through the machining center’s HMI using G-code.
The company will also present the Variocell UNO, a hybrid automation system designed for easy changeovers between different component families. With automated gripper and fixture change systems, the solution enables efficient production even for batch size one, allowing machines to operate autonomously during night shifts or weekends.
Visitors will also see the Micro5 XL in action, demonstrating high-precision 5-axis simultaneous machining for industries such as medical technology and precision engineering.
Additional highlights include the DZ 22 W five-axis machining center, the MT 715 two+ for long shaft components up to 1,400 mm, and the FZ 15 W, producing inverter housings using milling and friction stir welding in a single setup.
The event will also feature an Exclusive Outlet Area for high-performance machines at attractive conditions, along with expert guidance on service solutions, digital technologies, and process optimization. Around 35 partner companies will participate in the exhibition, complemented by daily technical presentations.
Manufacturers and industry professionals are invited to attend and explore future-ready machining solutions.
