Igus India has significantly bolstered its presence in the Indian market by inaugurating a state-of-the-art, 92,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Mandur, near Budigere, Bengaluru. This major expansion is part of a ₹100 crore (12 million euros) investment aimed at enhancing the company’s capabilities in emerging industries such as semiconductors and renewable energy.
The new facility underscores Igus’s commitment to India, with plans to establish additional logistics and assembly centers in Pune, Gurugram, and Noida. Igus India, already a key player in motion plastics, anticipates continued growth, projecting revenue of ₹340 crores for 2024.
Deepak Paul, Managing Director of Igus India, highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion, stating that the company aims to deliver cutting-edge solutions on both a national and global scale. The Bengaluru plant is equipped with advanced technology to meet the highest production standards, positioning Igus India for sustained growth in the dynamic Indian market.
