The MV-BxⅡ series of Nidec Machining Tool’s double-column machining centers
Nidec Machine Tool Corporation has unveiled a high-speed spindle with a maximum speed of 10,000 min-1 for its MV-BxⅡ series of double-column machining centers, launched in December 2024. Designed to enhance productivity and surface quality, the spindle enables high-precision aluminum machining and die/mold finishing while maintaining exceptional rigidity.
With a spindle taper of BBT50, the new high-speed spindle outperforms the standard version (7,000 min-1), offering a broader speed range of 35 to 10,000 min-1. This upgrade ensures efficient machining with small-diameter tools for finishing applications, as well as high-speed roughing of aluminum materials.
The MV-BxⅡ series combines best-in-class rapid traverse speeds, a compact double-column structure, and eco-friendly innovations. The spindle’s grease lubrication system eliminates the need for regular oil and air supplies, reducing energy consumption and maintenance. Operators benefit from simplified upkeep, as only the grease cartridge requires periodic replacement.
Nidec Machine Tool’s MV-BxⅡ series delivers industry-leading precision and speed, with rapid traverse speeds up to 48 m/min and exceptional spindle torque of 305 Nm. This innovation highlights Nidec’s commitment to meeting global production demands through advanced technology and sustainable solutions.
