VIGEL S.p.A. and MCM S.p.A. have announced the completion of the transfer of ownership of MCM to MCM Manufacturing Technologies S.r.l., a subsidiary of GENFIN Holding, which also controls VIGEL. The move marks an important consolidation in the global manufacturing technologies sector.
Both companies are well known for their expertise in advanced machining solutions. The acquisition supports a long-term strategy to create a stronger and more diversified organization capable of delivering high-performance manufacturing technologies to global industries.
Founded in 1947 in Torino, Italy, VIGEL remains owned by the founding family and is recognized for its multi-spindle machining centers. Over the years, the company has expanded globally with production facilities in Italy, India, and China, and commercial operations across Europe, the United States, Mexico, India, China, and Korea. Its portfolio also includes vertical lathes and special machine tools, mainly for the automotive sector.

MCM, founded in 1978 in Piacenza, specializes in horizontal machining centers and flexible manufacturing systems. A key strength of MCM is its proprietary supervision software developed by its in-house IT division, enabling integrated and digitally controlled production environments, particularly for aerospace applications.
By combining their complementary strengths, the group aims to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its presence in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and high-precision engineering. The integration is also expected to generate synergies in sales, product development, and manufacturing while enhancing global customer support.
