The ER system and its applications and usage as well as its limitations are quite well known on Machining centers Applications and today on Modern Machining Centers it’s the HYDROGRIP that has taken over delivering a Quick Firm and Precise Holding (TIR< 3-4 microns) enabling high levels of Tool security, higher speeds and feeds, yet ensuring accurate hole sizes.
ETP Transmission has uniquely extended this concept to Swiss automats by miniaturizing the HYDRO-GRIP principle for machines especially the SWISS automats that typically use ER11 and ER16 holders.
