TASKING India and dSPACE India Solutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at ESSS 2026 in Bengaluru to advance the development, testing, verification, validation and simulation of safety- and mission-critical software for India’s rapidly growing aerospace and defence sector.
The strategic collaboration combines TASKING’s embedded software development and verification toolchain, including compilers, debuggers and unit-testing solutions, with dSPACE’s model-based development, simulation, automated testing, code generation and SIL/HIL validation capabilities.
The partnership aims to help aerospace and defence organisations manage increasing software complexity while addressing stringent requirements related to safety, certification, compliance and reliability. The companies will work towards integrated engineering workflows covering software design, development, virtualisation, verification, validation and simulation.
For TASKING, the partnership further expands its capabilities in mission-critical software development. Its acquisition of LDRA in 2025 strengthened its portfolio in software verification, testing, traceability and standards compliance for highly regulated industries.
For dSPACE India Solutions, the MoU marks a significant step in strengthening its engagement with India’s aerospace and defence ecosystem. dSPACE has more than two decades of global experience supporting aerospace, defence and space programmes.
“India’s aerospace and defence ecosystem is entering a period of unprecedented innovation and growth,” said Andreas Gau, CEO and Managing Director, dSPACE India Solutions. He added that the collaboration will bring together proven technologies to support the development and certification of safety-critical software.
Christoph Herzog, Co-CEO and CTO, TASKING, said the partnership will create a strong foundation for next-generation mission-critical applications by combining TASKING’s software development and verification expertise with dSPACE’s simulation and validation capabilities.
The collaboration comes as India accelerates indigenous aerospace and defence development under initiatives such as Atmanirbhar Bharat. TASKING and dSPACE India Solutions intend to work with customers, industry stakeholders, academia and ecosystem partners to improve engineering efficiency, certification preparedness and the reliability of future aerospace and defence systems.
